Other Experience
Live Audio Engineer Intern
To finish my college career, I participated in an internship program kindly offered to my by Ian Jackson of Spice of Life productions based out of Rochester, NY. The internship began in June of 2021, and is set to finish in late August of 2021. During my time here in Rochester, I have had many wonderful opportunities to further my experience as an audio engineer. A lot of the work here at the company consisted of putting together live sound rigs that would then be transported, and built for a show. Our role after that system organization, and construction was to then engineer the stage, and the acts that performed. At Spice of Life, I have learned a great deal about designing rigs, routing power to supply a sufficient amount to those rigs, and finally I was able to practice my live sound engineering skills on consoles such as the Digico S21, and the 32 series boards (Behringer X32, Midas M32, and compact).
Virtual Reality Development
I am currently developing my own virtual reality experience. It consists of a realistic modeling of an environment that exists in real life. I went and captured photographs and made drawings of the environment I wanted to model. Due to my lacking 3D modeling skills, the environment ended up being a very rough creation compared to the real place.
However this project was created to focus more on audio techniques used in creating video games (specifically VR games). While I plan to continue my research and work with a different program called Wwise, what I created in Unity was a great start. I started with zone audio, and anchors inside of the game engine, and will be further diving into sounds that tie to animations inside of a game.
This project has even led me to sound designing a good friend's "game jam" for 2021.

Telesomnia
For this project, I was asked by one of my colleagues to supervise the session's VR aspect of the project. It was an experimental studio session consisting of Max for Live instruments based off of video game controllers, and motion. VR, and spatial audio was incorporated into the mix to provide an immersive experience for the audience.
